Another Widick farm update

Happy Father's Day. The dad in this house is out golfing today so the rest of us are outside enjoying the weather. It never gets old being outside & listening to the kids explore. Not everyone would be comfortable letting their kids loose outside but that's one of the reasons we moved here.

Many people ask about what is going on at our house so I wanted to give everyone an update.

The house had horrible gutters with functional wood siding when we moved in. The siding will have to suffice for a few years but the gutters became non-functional. This week Seamless Pros came out to replace them. They look great! Mark is very excited about how they fold up so he can mow easily.

Last fall I took a bunch of Grandma Marj's iris before her house sold. They were planted by the garage & miraculously they all came up with blooms. Ignore all the weeds that need cleaned out.

I haven't written much about our deck but it will be beautiful when finished. Phase 1 (of 4) is almost done and will be about 15'x25' when finished!

The garden is much, much smaller than last year. We had lots of issues getting it tilled and was planted very late. The weeds have already taken over & everything is looking sad. I started weeding today but it's going to take awhile.

This time of year is full of mulberries around here. The tree are everywhere & eventually most of them will be taken down.

Barn fencing is still being worked on when there's time. We have less than months to get it finished.

Last but not least Waldo the Gnome had come home! Mark & I bought/painted him for Reiman Gardens a few years ago. Since then he's been sitting at Little Wall Lake & welcoming people to the Widick home there.
